Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is renowned for its ability to release deep-seated tension and tightness within the deeper layer of muscles and connective tissues to help relieve chronic muscular discomfort and tension and help aid mobility.

When performing a deep tissue massage, I use slow strokes, firm but controlled pressure and deep knuckle, elbow or forearm techniques to help breakdown ‘knots’ and scar tissue. I communicate with the client throughout the massage about intensity in order to allow the muscles to release naturally and not resist through too much pressure being applied. The pressure should be strong but not intolerable.

Use of aromatherapy oils is optional.

  • Breaking up Scar Tissue: Deep Tissue Massage plays a crucial role in breaking up scar tissue, enhancing tissue flexibility and mobility.
